It was the best of times....
It was the worst of times....

It was 2007 and I could walk and drive that's one thing for sure. Today I am stuck with archivals until spring, although today was close to spring, my blood pressure was high so I was not allowed to go far from my apartment in my wheelchair and all about me was nothing but dirty snow and trees barren trying to figure out why it was 45F in January...

I did however save this beauty for you folks on TN. Sorry for not having to post. Life has been challenging with endurance, pain and such....it will be another year before I am back to 90 percent...never again at 100%

God-danged I hope your blood pressure can give you a break and let you explore once more.Because I know you are a man who prefers a truthful critique, I must say as much as I like the subject it for you is a little bit of a let down.I say that because the image is a bit noisy and not so sharp, but then again nor am I.I like getting older but there are times I wish it wasn't so.Bob hang in there and keep giving us all the best,I really do enjoy your work!Take care and thank you Mr.Shannon for you wonderful photo.

Bob in the very cold and frozen north.

Hello neighbor,
Sorry to hear that your blood pressure is acting up for you, but hopefully that can be managed with time and proper meds. Your little grey squirrel friend also seems to be looking ahead for better days. Perhaps spring will bring with it healthy times and renewed strenght for all. TFS.

Thanks for sharing this delightful creature!
Hope you are better real soon!

I hope you can get efficient and effective treatment for your hypertension Bob, so that you can get about and enjoy life.
We too have heaps of dirty snow, so like you I am delving in the archives. This is a nice close-up of this Squirrel taken to a standard that shows great details with fine natural colours He has a positive twinkle in his eye: something we all need!
Have a good week,

I hope you feeling better these days. Nice to see a photo from your archive. Although the BG is bit noisy, this is a very beautiful photo in good sharpness and a good choice of composition. Very nice bright colours.

Hi Bob.
I like the image of this cute animal so much. Its pose (as well as your POV), its clothes and glance are simply touching. Natural pictorial surroundings supplements this charming creature very well. I am very touched with your notes and wish you the best times once more.
Yours Alexei.

Hi Robert,

The blurry background is putting in evidence the squirrel. The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the squirrel. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Hopefully your health will improve, have a nice day.

Hallo Bob,
a very beautiful and intense portrait of this squirrel taken from an excellent POV with good details and splendid natural colours
I wish you all the best

Hello Bob,

Now that is a funny fellow...!
Quite similar to the cousins living here, the Eurasian red squirrel but I'm afraid the two don't go well together as they have experienced in the UK (the only place in Europe with gray squirrels)...
Good details and a fine portrait, showing above all the little fellows curiosity!

Awwwwwww....what a cutie! Yes, they can be monsters but sure is cute!
Great close up. I love the light in the eye.
