[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A juvenile snowy egret tiptoes across the natural debris in our pond. During warmer months, our once-fresh / now-brackish pond is a favorite feeding spot for many water birds, including egrets, herons, ibis, storks, and even hooded mergansers making their way south.

This young bird's legs and beak will darken as he grows older. As an adult, his legs will be black with yellow feet, and his bill will be black with yellow lores.
