[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For about 2-3 days now it has been warm enough with no snow to take out my wheelchair and my new camera which allows for better zoom with very good motion sensing.

This is of course a male sparrow which is quite the distance from me. Thanks to the zoom aspect of the camera I was able to get in close without having to crop and enlarge too much..

Our neighborhood is jammed with these birds. Lots of people feed them which attract more and more..then later in the spring come along the bigger birds and birds of same size but more aggressive and these birds get left out or chased away so if thy can get some good pickings now then all the better down the road.

Hi Bob,the perfect light position to create a magic effect on the sparrow, impressive sharpness and natural colors,Your hands do not tremble, age and the cold does not stop you .. ehehe....Thanks for share, have a nice Sunday,Luciano. p.s.i live far from Silvio...

Bob, I'm happy to know that House sparrows are "jamming" your neighborhood. Here in India, we are getting a bit paranoid about their marked disappearance from human habitations in recent times. Some people believe they are getting affected by the presence of overwhelming quantum of "waves" generated by GSM networks in the ether, though it seems a bit far-fetched to me personally. The other day, I was pleasantly surprised to see a male one like yours chirupping away on the windowsill of a classroom on the second story of our school building. Strangely, I felt happy and re-assured!
You have managed a lovely shot of this male with the zoom facility on your new camera. The barren branches frame it well against a grayish blue sky.
Very happy about you now up and doing things your own way, Bob! Keep it up, bhai!!

Simple and elegant shot Mr. Shannon!

Hi Bob,
cute fluffy guy relaxing on the curveing branch. I like the soft blue sky that gives a simple composition.
He is well framed between the small vertical branches thus making it exciting. The point of shooting is vital here, and you did right.

Hi RObert,
very nice photo of this bird. Excellent sharpness. Nice natural colours.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice Sunday.

Hello Bob,
A bit late, but too late, I hope, to say that I like this photo of a Sparrow. Beautiful light, natural colours, good sharpness and a very nice composition.

Hi Bob,

The branches are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the male sparrow. It is clear and sharp. The afternoon light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Lovely detail! I love the way the bough bows...really adds to the composition.

Dear friend Bob-
I am so happy to see You have a new camera, You know Lumix is a very good one and I am sure You are going to have a lot of great photos like this one.
We call this birds "Chileros" that means they eat a lot of hot chiles, and they really do so.
TFS My friend

Hello Bob,

A lovely little fellow, in a fine pose!
Lots of them around my house too, even if in winter the tits are most numerous...
Excellent details in the plumage and fine eye contact with the bird!
