I caught this little guy catching some rays on a rock yesterday on Mt. Rainier. When alarmed these marmots let out a whistle or chirp but as you can tell, this guy had no worries. Hope you like it :0)

Excellent and incredible shot ! This marmot was lazy and perhaps also wanted to become famous on Treknature ;-) And because of you this nice animal is a new star ;-)
Its pose is so funny. I like very this picture where colors, DOF and sharpness are good.
Congratulations Phil and thanks for sharing.

Excellent shot of this laid back critter Phil. It's a rare pose and you captured it well. TFS!

Hahaha! Lovely composition, title and pose. Details are sharp enough and exposure is very decent. TFS!

Very funny shot, Philip. Just a fantastic pose and POV. I never knew that they took up such poses. Oh well, I have actually never seen a marmot in person. Great shot and TFS. : )

Hello Philip, stunning capture, composition is very good.Congratulations, Didier.

Hi Philip, you're Tim's son aren't you? Tell him I miss him on TLens please.
What an excellent capture you have here of the Marmot. He was too lazy to whistle or chirp I think, and you were no threat to him! Great shot, well done.

Yes, this is really funny!
I hope he is still alive on the picture, and the first shoot was a camera... (just joking!)

This is the best mormot picture I saw so far!

So much better than the ones I captured, I love his flat out lazy look. I also love that you caught a glimpse of his front teeth too. From what I've read they're just eating machines from the time they wake in the spring until time to hibernate again. Amazing shot well done!

Parchute jump gone wrong I think!
Very good photo, excellant

A great and cute shot. I love the way the marmot is just lying lazily basking in the sun. Excellent pov. Thanks for sharing.
