[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Migration season is October through March.
Migratory geese flight range can be 2 3 thousand miles.
Resident geese can fly long distances as their migratory cousins,
but generally have learned that it is not necessary.
Generally, during this time (from end of molt to beginning to
mating) resident geese will be "pond hopping" and foraging to find
food, water and safety. Although, resident geese have a flight range of 100-200 miles.
Migratory geese will "pond hop" and forage during this same period until their migration habits take them back north for mating.

Hello Caleb,
Nice to see another post from you, I see you have been visiting the swamps near home. I like the sharp focus you managed to capture in this image of a family of Canada Geese. I may just have a big imagination, but it almost looks like there is a large bullfrog in the lower right-hand corner of your photo.
Again the only thing I question is the color, as it seems to have a slight bluish cast to it.

Hello Caleb,
Very interesting shot with much atmosphere. Love it. I just would have suppressed the half- goose at the left of the shot. I prefer your color-version, but this is just a manner of personal taste.
Keep photographing!
Kind regards
Anne
