[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As was mentioned on yesterdays image we are in Haines, Alaska. Photographing the bear and eagles during the Pink Salmon run. This is a time of plenty for the bears and eagles on the west coast. This three year old Grizzly sow is foraging in the Chilkoot River, near Haines.
I would like to dedicate this image to Ingrid who I became very good friends with through TrekNature before she left the site.

Oh Rick, I hope Ingrid visits this and smiles..just like this bear! Awesome shot

Hi Rick. This is well framed and not over-zoomed. I like how you left enought space for background; especialy with all the zoom your camera has. The light seems a bit low but the details are there. The water colour seems very accurated. A great enviroment shot. TFS Trevor

Hello Rick,
When I look at this fellow all I think of is massive and powerful. The size of his head alone looks huge, and his intense gaze tell me this is his turf, so find your own fishing hole. Love the framing and excellent detail you managed to capture. Colors are true and natural which is what I always expect from you. Super shot!!

Hi Rick,
Nice capture of this bear.
Great colors and sharpness.
Congratulation.
Cheers.

Hi Rick,I was hoping that you might up-load something new as it has been so long since your last up-load;I was beginning to think I could up being the only Albertan doing so.This is an excellent subject to return with as was the landscape you put up yesterday. The pose of this bear in the frame looks great and your colours have a subdued cloudy day look to them, kind of the sort of light I had to deal with when I was at Port Hardy this past August.I spent 10 days in BC but didn't see a single bear anywhere and I had hopes of seeing some as the salmon are plentiful there but as it is, I am happy to see this bear photo of yours.A sharp and well placed in the frame shot and one I am happy you have shared with us.

My dear friend

I have returned to TN and just discovered your dedication, a perfect candidate for my theme "Animals feeding".
This is a great action photo, taken with your usual aplomb! the colours are amazing. I shiver from looking at the ice cold water...
Thanks for sharing.
Warm Greetings from the Tzaneen Dam in Limpopo, South Africa
