Great job of capturing this group of Leaf-footed Bugs which seem to be in all stages of developement. It doesn't appear that any of them have fully developed wings yet, which might make a positive ID a little tricky.
I can't say for sure, but I believe they are (Leptoglossus oppositus). My field guide book states that this particular species is commonly found on the pods of Catalpa Trees in the Eastern US. I'm pretty sure what you show in your photo are Catalpa pods. We use to call them Cigar Trees when I was a kid. Check out this link.

Hi Ruby. You don't usually see this interesting a picture on Treknature. I love how clear the bugs are with great detail. They almost look comical like cartoon bugs. Very kool! TFS Trevor
