"Mammoth Mountain was built by a series of approximately 25 separate eruptive episodes between 110,000 and 57,000 years ago. The eruptions were fed by a magma body located somewhere beneath the mountain and has a source separate from the magma body beneath Long Valley caldera."(usgs.society)

Have a nice WE, Ferran
What a pleasant view of the Mammoth Lake area with a lot of detail to appreciate. I agree with Maciek that this is a good presentation and also that the point of view is excellent as there are so much to see in the scene. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Beautiful photo, even if a bit small, but the view is sweeping and those clouds are wonderful addition to complement the snow. I just won a lottery for the permit to go up to Mt Whitney on Labor Day. It will be a chanllenge, but we are going to try. It supposed to take 16 hrs. So we have to start at 4:00 in the mornign. Many people didn't make it, so we'll see if I make it.
Good shot here.
