Troglodytidae, Cistothorus palustris (Marsh Wren)

These birds are gorgeous singers. They add a lot of melodious sounds to the marshlands. Note the long beak and long tongue as this image shows him singing out. These small birds (smaller than an English Sparrow) are secretive, flitting from reed to reed and difficult to photograph. NOTE the tiny midge flying above the wren's tail.

It was my opportunity to view the large wetland on the northern region of the Great Salt Lake known as the Bear River Migratory Bird Sanctuary. In a period of 4 hours, many marshland species were capture with my Nikon D7000. These will be featured over the next few weeks/months.
