A Female Mallard duck that was in my yard. Female mallards are a dappled brown, with the exception of the speculum marking. The mallard speculum is an iridescent purple/white patch outlined with pure white.

Like a studio photo with a real model. :-) Little strange with the slightly overexposured background, but quite spectacular. Great sharpness as well.

Indeed, it looks a bit like a studio photo with this background. But the sharpness, details and composition of the mallard is very good. Taken from a fine POV in nice natural colours.

The female Mallard may not have all the colorful markings of her mate, but your image shows her off very well. Wonderful sharp focus and attractive natural colors.
