[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On my way to see Mt. Rainier on a cloudy day I stumbled across this bird - I have no idea what kind of bird it is, as I have never seen one like it before but it looks like some kind of magpie. It was very shy though but I got a couple of good shots at 200mm...

Can anyone tell me what kind of bird it is? Critique and comments are more than welcome.

Hi Karsten,

The best posting of the Steller's Jay.
Excellent capture and well done.
The composition would be stronger if there was less space on the right. As it stands, it's too centered.

Great capture, Karsten. Very sharp details and good exposure on this steller jay. Beautiful colors. You might try putting your subject a bit off to the side (in this case more space to the left as he is looking in that direction). Very well done and thank you for sharing. A warm welcome to TN. : )
