I found this pretty little dragonfly quietly perched on some fruiting Poke Weed. It was fairly dark in this part of the woods and I was hand holding my camera. I took quite a few shots, hoping to get at least one decent image.

The Saffron-winged Dragonfly is a medium-sized dragonfly. This particular reddish specimen is a male, the female is yellow, darkening to brown as it ages.

Perching horizontally the males "tee up" on emerging vegetation during breeding time. They can be seen making short patrolling flights low over the water.

Habitats include ponds, lakes and brackish wetlands, many times being poorly vegetated.

You might post it in Flora category too (smile). Beautiful colored dragonfly. Quite well captured if I compare it with fruits I must say your post would be valuable if you chose Flora category. Here fruits are more attractive and eye catching than dragonfly. Even bright green BG color goes with fruits..
