[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hummingbirds never cease to amaze me as they zip in and out of flowers sipping sweet nectar. This is a female Ruby-throated hummingbird which incidentally is the only species of hummingbird found in Ohio.

The hummingbirds have pretty much left for the year and will not return until next spring. The males are the first to arrive and immediately stake out their territories.

Rosie puts sugar water in the feeders around the first week of May, it usually doesn't take long before the first one arrives. This year I saw one within an hour after she filled them.

Hello Ron
i have seen this shot near mine yesterday just before i go to bed and this morning it was disapeared, i am very happy to see it again today while it's a so beautiful shot of a lovely subject, with excellent sharpness and colors
Have a good night

Looks like you have re-posted the picture, Ron.
As I had stated earlier, this is the best image of a Hummingbird in hovering action I have ever seen here on TN since Howard Cheek quit posting some years ago.
With no noise in the BG, it is also an enchanting composition with the red flower.
Thank you once again.

Hello Ron,

Beautiful picture of this Hummingbird. Nicely freeze. Good sharpness and details with splendid light. Good work.....
Thanks for showing,
Regards,
Srikumar

Spectacular sharpness with the wings just showing a bit of movement. Nice light too. The flower colour helps lift the duller bird and makes it pop from the BG.
Maybe cloning out the flower head at the bottom right and top left, as well as the twig on the bottom left would help 'centre' the attention on the bird. Or cropping them out.

GREAT moment capture.

Hi Ron,
I admire his picture. Great timing and perfectly executed shot. Thanks for sharing. JC
