Autumn in Napa Valley
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this photo Friday on our first morning in Napa Valley. We were doing our first winery tour at the Frog's Leap Vineyard when I saw this beautiful tree in full autumn colors. It was on the edge of a vineyard which was also in fall colors. Frog's Leap is an organic vineyard. They plant their vines much farther apart that most vineyards and do no irrigation or fertilizers. Because they don't water the vines, the tap roots go 20-40 feet below the ground in search of water. They also have a complete organic garden as a demonstration of sustainable gardening. They offer the produce from the garden to all visitors (along with a lot of free wine tastings, LOL!). The photo is unretouched; colors are as I saw them. |

Hi Alli,
oh dear.....Alli.....wine tasting...........
I hope that the vineyard has some wine left to sell at Christmas after your visit!!!
Lovely colours Alli, good exposure and detail.
I'm a bit rushed tonight, doing my manly duties about the house!!
Thanks for posting, have a great week

Hi Alli
Stunning autumn colours well set off against the blue sky and white cloud. Great DOV.
Regards Toni
Very nice Alli! Well composed, great autumn color and DOF. I like the red leaves against the blue sky very much. Excellent long view down the road as the angled tree line seems to meet it, provides a great perspective. Very well done. Thank You.
Hi Alli,
Wow! what a beautiful scene. The colors are fantastic, and clarity is superb. Great composition and framing. The leading line of the road really adds to this shot. EXCELLENT! (I bet the wine was pretty good too)
