Good afternoon everyone!

Well back to the trying to spice up the rock post. This time I push a flower bush up close to the rock in order to add some foliage. I like how it turned out, gave it a different perspective on the shot. Still working on the seeds though, I move them and they push them back again, got to find a god looking rock with a deeper crevice.

Equipment used; my tripod, fill flash and a remote cable. I set a figurine on top of the rock to pre-focus, then sat back and waited. With the remote cable I was able to sit roughly 4 ft behind the camera, thus making me less imposing to the birds when the arrived.

I was quite pleased with the results; I am getting better controlled shots of the birds. Each time I do this I get more ideas for other platforms I would like to get the birds to pose on.

Gregory, details are really amazing. Great to know you are improving your techniques.

I do enjoy sharpness and colors. The foliage was a great idea, although the shot would be also great without it.

Keep on bringing us your "experiments"

Hi Greg,
I think you are doing a great job with these shots. I think they would make a great montage of some type. Excellent colors, sharpness, clarity, and DOF. Keep them coming, I love them!
