[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the "Bird of Paradise" flower. It is related to tbe banana, and, therefore, is limited to the tropical areas of the planet [sigh!].

This particular critter was located outside the door of my sister's condo in Southern California. It sat there with no defenses as I snuck up on it with my new camera. How close could I get? See for yourself!

Very fine close-up. That camera is doing a great job, but the ideea, soul and composition of a photo is the photographer's merit. Lovely caught the color mixture of "the Bird".

Great POV of this bird of paradise. The details are very sharp and the colors are stunning. Beautiful and interesting framing. Well done, Mike, and TFS. : )

Happy holidays ... and points of course, for this great image!

Hi Mike,
Great macro shot, excellent colours and detail. Nice neutral background too.

These flowers are almost too common as subjects in photography, but I've never seen a shot that is this close in to the flower. Very original, and the colors, focus, and contrast are beautiful. Nice work!
