Hi Dave. Classic pose, you're right. Moreover, I like the hanging thing on the left that balance very well the composition.
I also feel like is a bit dull in contrast and colours. I did a WS too.

Many thanks!!! Great bird and you're right - classic pose. Your specie is slightly different - more dark in colours, but I bet also very dynamic and hard to capture! These birds are one of my favourites, small, active and sounds very good. Also - very good WS!

Hello Dave,

Another idea would be to have a silhouette theme of the various types of birds, it is amazing how much we have all learned in regards to identifying species this way.

Great job on this lovely pose, a little dark for my taste, however, well captured and composed.

Petru's ws helps.

Nice shot Dave. You have very good sharpness and DOF in your subject. As Anna Lu has said, and I quote "a little dark for my tastes" is something I will have to borrow here. I did a workshop I will post tommorrow. TFS!

Hi Dave,
The overall composition on this looks excellent. I know you shoot these thru a window. Is it heavily tinted? Thats what the darkness of the photo looks like to me. Your recent outside shots do not have the dark look that the bird shots have. I love the pose, and the detail is excellent.
