[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I made this photo last winter on a late night ski on the trails around my neighborhood in Fairbanks Alaska. The camera was tripod mounted and a shutter speed of about 20 seconds. There was a full moon which illuminated the snow and trees nicely and the pink glow is from the lights of Fairbanks. I used no artificial saturation.

Nice shot David, This picture is very hot. Well done

Magnificent use of moonlight and shadow. The long exposure brings out the details and preserves the low light of the evening. Beautiful landscape. Well done.

I love to read that you did not use artificial saturation, it is really interesting to see the colours achieved with long shutter timing.
Tha light & exposure are EXCELLENT, congratulations and TFS.

Hi David,
This is an excellent long exposure shot. This looks great in the portrait framing. Slightly surreal look with great color in the sky from the city lights. Excellent work!

Amazing shot. Great composition. I'm going to have to try a long exposure like that...however I don't have such a neat scene to try it on! : / Thanks for Sharing...and Welcome.

That is superb, David. That scene is rather surreal.
I guess those of us in lower latitudes are not privy to such beautiful night skies. Well done and TFS. : )

Great work David. Has a very surreal quality to it, almost like a computer generated landscape in a game. A really different photo, well done.

This photo is great. I like the snow, the sky, the lightning, exposure, everything! Reminds me of "Les Laurentides" in Quebec. Very well done!

That's all natural lighting - amazing!!! Beautiful!!!
I can't even start a critique because I don't know where to start...it's just so beautiful that I'm adding it to my favorites. The sparkle on the snow, the perfect formation of trees, the eerie pink light...must have been like walking in a dream.

David,

Oh my god! What a beautiful shot! I can almost feel the serenity. It reminds me of the times I would go hiking. Absolutely fantastic shot. Thank for sharing!

Rob

this image is great - looks like a fairy tale . I think a little of H/S in P.S will help a bit.
were you shooting to the east? if you have shoot to the north ' with longer exposure , you could have a circle of the stars moving.
and any way,a longer expo would have got you a nicer stars line.

any how it is still magical

TFS

Mati
