[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this bird at the zoo but I don't know what he is; someone thought he was a Northern European mini condor- but unsure. If anyone knows please advise. I know he is tropical- as he was in a very warm walk through enclosure. Have a great mid-week.

This is one of the African Glossy Starlings of the genus Lamprotornis, but I can't be sure which.

Nicely exposed shot. These iridescent birds are hard to get accurately recorded on film/sensor.

You really managed to capture this bird's shimmering colors. I would imgine that it isn't as simple as it may seem.

Wooow ! What a wonderful bird that you have very well captured ! I like very much the superb colors of its feathers. Congratulations Nichole and thanks for sharing this beauty.

Hello Nichole, the bird you've captured is a Emerald Starling (Lamprotornis iris) from western Africa. You have captured the iredescents nicely. :)

Toucadoo is correct. Lamprotornis [Coccycolius] iris - Emerald Starling - an adult.
