|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Evelynn posted a picture for me (Check it out!), and I wanted to return the favor. So, I asked her to challenge me. I wanted her to tell me what to take a picture of, and I would do my best to do it. She gave me the ultimate challenge in photograph. She wanted me to take a photograph with spectacular lighting. |
Evenlyn, I hope this won't disappoint. I did absolutely nothing with post processing to it, except add a frame.
It was a very overcast day when I took the shot, but for about fifteen seconds while I was in the woods the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and made the woods just SPARKLE! Every little leaf around me in the forest came to life. I looked around me, saw this branch, and started shooting like there was no tomorrow. This shot turned out especially well... I didn't even notice the shadows of the family of insects on the other side of the leaf until I brought the picture up on my computer!
I think this is one of my best pictures. I hope you like it, too!

It looks like Evelynn pushed the right button. You created a very beautiful photo with super light. The OOF sunrays in the b/g are very beautiful and the shallow DOF works perfectly and let the viewer focus on the leaf with the insect family. Excellent color and composition.
Well done my friend.
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner re: your wonderful photo of "LIGHT". I just looked at the landscape postings the last few days. I should have checked out your gallery. Gratefully my friend ManYee gave me the "headsup" and directed me to it! She actually called me from California to tell me it was there! : ) It is special. And indeed you did get some great lighting! The sun rays are really nice! Boy, I'm glad I gave you the challenge! You certainly rose to meet it. A+
