Not sure what type of flower this is, but I really liked how clearly the center came into focus. I also think the colors are nice. I used auto levels, and increased the red and yellow hues by about %15. This is my first post in quite a while.. hope you like it!

I really like the POV of this capture. Brian.
Very original and artistic presentation.
The pattern of the orange-tipped spikes radiating out gives this shot a psychedelic feel. Sharp details and beautiful colors.
TFS. : )

Hermosa foto. Original. Los colores son muy llamativos, tanto que el centro destaca de tal manera que parece una ilusión óptica. Buen trabajo. Un saludo, Juan Luis.

Hi Brian

Excellent work. Nice POV, good depth of colour. Well done :-)

Hi Brian,
Great to see you back. You've been of air for a rather long time. Everything OK?
Great photo with excellent colors and crop. I like the sharpness of the photo and the DOF you've used. Your camera has an excellent macro function which brings out the best details possible.

Sharp, almost startling symmetry, Brian. I agree with you about that crisp center focus. It really makes the image. Not sure you needed to increase the hues, but, in any case, the end result is nice.

Well...so where have you been?? I thought you dropped off the planet so stopped looking for your posts.

This is a psychedelic shot! Woke me up working here too late at night! It is really very interesting: crop, colors and patterns. You've inspired me to do a workshop!!

Brian, looks like a flower in the < rather common> daisy family to me...
As to the core, check out the Fibonacci series for the spirals that are in these flower-hearts, and the petals on same.
