[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Red Rock Canyon, a 197,000 acre Bureau Of Land Management Area just 17 miles West of the Las Vegas Strip. This high desert area is part of the Mojave Desert, and sits at the base of the Spring Mountains. The area has a 13 mile scenic drive, and numerous great hiking trails. Along with the regular desert plant and wild life, the area is inhabited bt wild burros that are left over from the early mining days. A large amount of interesting geological formations of various shades of Red sandstone.

If you are ever in Las Vegas, this is only a 15 minute drive away. A great place to spend a day hiking and taking photographs. The web site for this location is www.redrockcanyon.blm.gov

Nice colours, and good to see the sky in there! I'd love to go to some of these places in the US.

Scott, I'd say this is an artistic shot.

I like composition and pov. You do know how to deal with these kinds of compositions.
