[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I woke up at 5:00am to take some pictures of the sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean City, Maryland (near Washington DC). I took over 200 pictures, but most of them were of the sun coming up over the horizon line, and of the clouds that turned brilliant shades of pink and yellow.
Because the light was coming from the lowest angle possible at this time, I thought it might be a good idea to shoot the water as well. So I lowered my tripod and aimed the camera down, and waited for the splash of a wave to come towards me. I only took two pictures of the water with this setup, and this one turned out the best. I think the combination of water, foam, and sand all covered in the shimmering morning light makes this photo special.
I have a few more pictures from my vacation to Ocean City that I'll post as soon as possible. |
