What a great set of clouds and that wonderful colour the storm created. I love the really hung over feel that top cloud layer creates Niek.

Seems to need to be a tad sharper to me, but that might just be me.

This is a beauty, Niek. The colors and the light are really nice. I like the narrow silhouette of land that gives a foundation and scale to the shot. Is there any advantage to shooting RAW if one converts it straight to JPRG? (is it just that you have the original with all that info in case you may want it.) If I start shooting and saving RAW images I'm going to need a second external hard drive. MY 80Gig one is almost full. My computer is an 80 Gig too. I only store one year's photos at a time on it...and I don't have much room left there either.

Awesome Niek!
Just look at those thunderhead bubbling up through the atmosphere...up where the air is clean...opps got carried away. :))
The orange, yellow and peach colour of the cloud as so pretty and soft looking. It almost looks like there is smoke in the air by all the colours.

Splendid image of these amazingly looking clods.
The light in this picture is simply fantastic, but also the high POV (at least so it seems, beacuse the clouds appear almost at level and rifht abouve you :)).
Also great exposure, colors and composition.
Very well done!

As before, I like the overall color & tone. In this one the cloud formations have good interest, with the billowing storm clouds beneath the flat ceiling layer above & the dark rolling hills below..

Hi Niek,
Excellent cloud formations. It seems that the clouds here in the US are very different from Europe, certainly the UK. The colours in this are beautiful and I like the way you've framed the distant clouds between the ground and the storm clouds at the top of the frame. Excellent detail and textures too, great work.

Wonderful set of storm shots, I just love the lighting and atmosphere before, during and after storms - the colours are fantastic, you can almost feel the power in that cumulonimbus.
