Absolutely stunning Julie - From the thumbnail I thought it was a piece of rock. I would never believe that there could be so many colours in a tree root. Very good dof showing plenty of details. Great capture - thanks a lot for posting this interesting picture.

The colors here are great and I like the grain that is still clearly visable. The sharpness is good too.

Very well done and thanks for posting.

Now, If you could cut that into 2inch slabs, polish same and use as a worktop in the kitchen you will be the talk of all your fiends - and you will most probably get lockedup in the prcess too.
