Hi Everyone,
This is another Monarch composition with pretty lantana flower.
I hope you like it:)
Cheers,
Chris

The Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) is a well-known North American butterfly. Since the 19th century, it is also found in Australia and New Zealand where it is also known as the Wanderer Butterfly. In Europe it is resident in the Canary Islands (except Lanzarote) and Madeira, and is found as a migrant in the Azores, Portugal and Spain. Its wings feature an easily recognisable orange and black pattern. The females have darker veins on their wings, and the males have a spot in the center of each hindwing from which pheromones are released.

The Monarch is the state insect of Alabama, Idaho, Illinois, and Texas, and the state butterfly of Minnesota and West Virginia. It was nominated in 1989 as the national insect of the United States, and is the national insect of Canada. The Monarch's name and color were also the inspiration for the name and home strip of the Michoacán-based CA Monarcas Morelia professional football team.

Many people like to attract Monarchs by making a butterfly garden, and other people like to raise them for pleasure or for educational purposes.

Hi Chris!
You deserve accolades for this wonderful capture of a Monarch. The POV is just perfect and everything else that makes a great picture is in place here. I love its colors and also the composition formed by the butterfly and the lantana flower.
Very well done and TFS.

Nicely done, Chris. All the technical stuff is solid - color, light, composition, and focus. Only minor nit is I wish there wasn't a bright spot behind the 'fly, but it's really not very distracting.

Excelente captura con nitidez, buen POV y DOF.
Me agrada el encuadre y la composición general, incluyendo un excelente fondo.
Sólo criticaría los colores algo saturados o sobre expuestos como se aprecia en las flores de lantana.
Saludos... Ricardo

Excellent capture with sharpness, good POV and DOF.
I like the framing and the general composition, including a excellent bottom.
Only I criticize the colors something saturated or over exposed as it is appreciated in the lantana flowers.
Greetings... Ricardo
