This is a Whitetip shark residing at the Monteray Bay Aquarium. They apparently will occasionally settle down on the bottom.

The whitetip’s sometimes sleeps on the bottom, but they prefer caves or other safe places. Check out my post for wild sleeping whitetip’s and for more more info about this species of shark.
