Just for fun I thought I would post this tree and raven shot because it was taken just seconds after Raven's World which I posted a couple of days ago. The viewpoint has changed slightly but exposure makes it a completely different image.

The shot is nice. But it's better when you compare the two versions.

Too bad you changed the vantage point. (Both make perfect sense given the different backgrounds, though). But it still does a great job of making your point.

P.S. I thought about this idea a lot last year in Japan. I tried to shoot the same locations in different seasons, but I found that I often would change the composition to one that was more compelling for the current conditions. It was actually hard to do the same composition, because I was almost automatically driven away from my starting shot to a better composition.

Hello Evelynn,
I like much this photograph. There is a very great depth of field, and this bird is welcome on the photograph!
Thank you,

Hi Evelynn.
Nice and aesthetic piece of work. What was speed and f-number used for the previous shot (i.e. Raven's World)?

Hi Evelynn,
Great colors and clarity and funny to see such a different BG from your previous photo. It is a pitty you didn't mention the exposure at your previous shot, so we could compare the technical part as well.

P.S. have lots of fun in Washington!

Splendide paysage! un endroit grandiose et qui semble si paisible... j'aime beaucoup l'oiseau dans la scène... il semble perdu dans cette immensité...

Another great capture Evelynn and this time in colour. The bird is the bonus which focuses our eye. Well done.

Bonjour Evelynn

Félicitations pour cette belle composition.

my namesake's family..the corvidae..
a good study of a studious bird..in a position to give it prominence by inclusion rather than size...
the surroundings add a 'loneliness' to the shot and mood

Hi Evelynn,
A lovely composition with the beautiful tree!
The place breath from peace and quiet, and the raven tells about wildlife around...
The way light reflects from water adds life!
