Shot of a reddish egret at Little Estero Lagoon in Fort Myers Beach on the SW Coast of Florida. This is one of the best locations for photographing birds like these. I got down real low in the muck to get this shot. The birds there are relatively tame, so you can get in relatively close.

What an intresting looking Egret, i have never seen one with these colours before. The image is great with good detail and in a standard pose, only little thing is around the beak it appears the image is slightly over sharpened. However it does not detract from the image as a whole, well done and thanks for sharing :)

A beauty of a shot on the Reddish Egret. Spot on exposure has the colors and detail looking amazing. Excellent isolation from the OOF backround. Hoping to get down to that area again this spring. Spnt several days at Ding Darling NWLF. What a briders paradise.
