I have already posted three pictures from that evening on TrekEarth.

Monument Valley is located on the southern border of Utah with northern Arizona. The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation near the town of Goulding and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163. The Navajo name for the valley is Tsé Bii' Ndzisgaii (Valley of the Rocks).
Monument Valley provides perhaps the most enduring and definitive images of the American West. The isolated red mesas and buttes surrounded by empty, sandy desert have been filmed and photographed countless times over the years for movies, adverts and holiday brochures. Because of this, the area may seem quite familiar, even on a first visit, but it is soon evident that the natural colours really are as bright and deep as those in all the pictures. The valley is not a valley in the conventional sense, but rather a wide flat, sometimes desolate landscape, interrupted by the crumbling formations rising hundreds of feet into the air, the last remnants of the sandstone layers that once covered the entire region.

Bonjour Henryk,

fabuleuse prise de vue. Les couleurs sont extraordinaires et vous avez en prime un arc en ciel.

Hi Henryk,
Very scenic landscape, rainbow is a big plus for aesthetic value of this image, also curving lines on the rock (sandstone) at FG. Great PoV. Superbly composed picture. Light was well managed. Very neat image. Excellent shot and great PP works.

Hi Henryk,

For your first landscape on TN, well it's 10/10. I love these desert scene espacialy when the sun is low like that and produces a warm tone to the picture. Good timing with the rainbow and the sun coming out on that cloudy day. POV and DOF are superb. I only have the felling that the picture is just slightly tilted on the left? I would be curious to know if you used filters? What was your f/stop? Your exposure time?

PC :)

Hi Henryk,
What a stunning scenery and what a beautiful photo taken of it. Great work on the composition and the exposure. The lighting really worked to your benefit in this shot, even giving you a partial rainbow. I like that you included part of the road in the composition, it gives an idea of the large scale.
TFS,
Niek

This is beauty of the nature. Many millions years of erosion and geological processes, and on the other hand, rainbow that lasts only few minutes.
Excellent picture.
