|Not sure why the giraffe was rubbing its head against the other giraffes neck but it looks cute. This was taken at the Oakland zoo. this area has no bars just a small moat to keep the animals in. In addition to the giraffes there are egyptian vultures, crested cranes, and antelopes in the enclosure.|

I am by no means an expert on Giraffes, but judging by what I have observed on our farm, it is probably a territorial "discussion"
Our male giraffe was necking another giraffe on the next farm by swinging their necks against each other with a loud whack, getting so involved in their stupid fight, that both males had deep burn mark on their necks, caused by the electric fence which separated our farms.
Eventually we had to create a "Noman's Land" to avoid they burning themselves seriously.
