The Sun's last stand

|Point Reyes National Seashore is an amazing place to visit. The park contains a famous lighthouse, wildlife such as tule elk, miles of hiking, and several beaches with each offering fantastic scenery. It's also home to many historic working ranches. |
Unlike many US National Parks, Point Reyes is free of charge. The winter time is an excellent part of the year to visit as it's often too cold for the ever menacing fog that usually blankets the coast.
This shot is a few seconds before another shot I posted on TL.

this really reminds me of the area of the UK that i live in! Great use of the rocks for the foreground to lead the eye in, and nice lighting too.
Another splendid capture. The lighting is really well controlled in this shot. Considering the huge difference between the shaded and the sunlighted area. Excellent work on the sharpness and clarity.

What an amazing view!
I like the low point of view, that shows a lot of depth.
Great sharpness, excellent light and stunning colours.
Thanks for sharing.
This is a nice wide angle shot, Mike....good use of that lens. I like the limited color palette; greens, oranges and neutrals.
I think it is nicely exposed and composed with great depth of field.
