Wind on the Ridge
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The trees along this ridge where we camped don't much of a chance to grow very tall due to the harsh conditions that must be endured. This area is covered with snow from November to July and is subject to some pretty fierce winds, which is the case here.|
If you look closely you can see our camp on the knoll in the background. Took quite a bit of work keeping the camera steady for this shot due to the high winds.

That is an image that tells a story.Very good composition, and the exposure is well done under difficult conditions.Great dedication on your part,TFS
Hi Tim! This place looks like the end of the world! The leaden sky, the stunted tree, the deep, deep snow, scary! Wonderful composition, very dramatic. Great job! Linda

This is a great photo that captures the wilderness in winter. I'm impressed that you could get the shot at all given the conditions.
Thanks for sharing.
This sounds like a true expedition. This almost looks like a B/W photo, but I thnik I do see some green color. I think by cropping the bottom and getting more room at the top the trees come out better. The interest of the photo is now all in the top part.
