Probably not the greatest shot Iíve posted, but I found it interesting.
Driving to work on a misty autumn morning, I came across this area with hundreds of spider webs, wet with dew and shimmering in the early morning sunlight.
As you can see the webs were roughly box-shaped, with the top of the web hanging from the tallest grass stem and the bottom of the web turning into a funnel that led to the spiderís hole in the ground.
The whole web was about 30cm square at the base and all were about 2cm off the ground at the base.
I do not know what spider makes such a web, but there were literally hundreds of them in this area of euclaypt woodland.
I examined around fifty webs and not one of them had any prey in them. Seems like an awful lot of work for the spider for no result.

Spiders are amazing creatures. These webs from your photos looks like ethereal satellite dishes. What a miracles of nature. Very nice and interesting presentation Chris.

Interesting web formations Chris, I like this set and the multiple webs I see. I think the moisture laden webs have photographed very nicely. Interesting that there were so many together like this..I would've been great if you could have found one to ID..Well done!!

Different, but well presented, Chris.
Excelent work on the composition of compositions. :) :)
