[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are a troop of Fairy Bonnets (Coprinus disseminatus) a reasonably common fungi found in rainforests of south eastern Australia. They have the habit of growing out from the sides of rotting logs, so that the stems are often curved as in this image.
I previously posted a shot of the same species in January and you can see more info on this species here.
This troop was taken at Minnamurra Falls.

Hi Chris,
Quite an amazing growth of fungi here, it looks almost like some exotic light fitting. Very interesting notes and a very well executed shot, excellent detail, great exposure. I can almost smell that rotting wood and vegetation!

I love to see mushroom photos, and this one is really beautiful ! You are so lucky to have found this big cluster ! I love the shaep of these fungi, they look frail and a bit delicate. Excellent details, nice natural colors, great composition and POV. Very well done !

This is awesome, the mushroom configuration really makes this a cool picture. You picked a really great POV for this shot. Almost makes it look like a mushroom city in the forest of Endor. :)

Nice shot for this group of Coprinus disseminatus. I am jalous beacause they exist in France but I never meet them ;-)
