unset over the 'Walls Of China', the sand dune lunette that embraces the eastern 'shore' of Lake Mungo. Lake Mungo has been dry since the last ice age, now home to Kangaroos and Emus instead of fish. Many archaelogical remains have been found along its shore, previously habited by the traditional Aboriginal people. As the sun was setting fast I had no time to grab anything but the Canon and run to the Lunette to catch a few memorable images in the fading evening twilight.

Hi Steve and Ioana,
a sharp and well composed shot of this desert scene.
The lighting is beautiful.
Well done,
Joey

Hi Steve and Ioana.
Beautiful light, great composition bringing the ripples in the sand up to the rocks, makes a point of interest leading the eye in. Colour, detail, expose, all great.

Buna din nou,

Buna combinatie dintre nisipul desertului si ultimele raze ale soarelui. Chiar si acele mici bucatele de vegetatie invioreaza putin atmosfera. Australia are din plin peisaje unice. Felicitari.
Tot Cezar.

This is an interesting landscape with the sane and the rocks. I really like the light that accentuates the textures. Perhaps cropping a bit off the right side would make the composition more dynamic. The centered rock makes it feel static but with if off center my eye really travels back into the distance.

Hi Steve and Ioana,
Beautiful landsape image! I love the rippled effect on the sand, and the rock leads the eye into the image nicely. Lovely rich colours, and great lighting too. Well done and TFS
Cheers Tina :-)

Hi Steve,
I jut love the warm colors in this photo. It made the sand become a bit pinkish. The texture in the sand is beautiful. Interesting and beautiful rock formation.

Niek

Hi Steve & Ioana. I like this as it is a place not many people go to. The colours and textures of the sand is very good. The horizon is well arranged with a lot of interesting foreground. TFS. Murray.
