|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I took this photo on a trip to Manly Beach outside of Sydney. I liked the sediment layers in the rocks. The area has a thriving tourist industry, which depends on the natural beauty of the area, including the natural sandy beaches and surrounding waterways. |
In the past, there have been pressures on this recreational resource from both the natural processes of erosion and shoreline slope instability and from man-made activities including development, heavy mineral extraction and the entrance breakwater construction. (excerpted from manlyhydraulics.com)
This is a scanned photo. Photo was taken on a cloudy day so I adjusted contrast.
