There are only 300 examples of this species left and all are in captivity.
White lions are affected by a recessive genetic condition known as leucism. This causes a loss of normal pigmentation in the fur and skin, however, the lips, eyes and paw pads remain the same as the tawny lion.

Very good capture John. bush behind the lion looks bit shaky however the subject came out very good.
