[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Rock Ringlet (Hypocysta euphemia) is only found around rocky outcrops of sandstone or granite in two areas of near coastal south-eastern Australia.
They can be found from August to May, though they are most numerous between October and March. They fly close to the ground and Iíve only found them where there are rocky faces that the males fly along and perch, defending small territories and chasing females.
They have a wingspan of 36mm and the larval food plants are grasses from the family Poaceae.

Hi Chris.
A nicely composed shot of this Ringlet, obviously taken in bright light again.
I feel that giving it a little more contrast and darkening slightly would make it look even sharper and bring out the colour more, but thats just my personal taste I guess.
Very nice work anyway.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Chris!

This one looks great! It is relative of our European Ringlets, but looks much better. I like POV with very well visible patterns on wing and blurred BG. Perfect light and colours. Did you noticed that pattern on insect's wing looks like two eyes, nose and smile?
