|Attempt at 12 X Zoom on this lorikeet in the treetops. After many failures to get sharpness this is almost aceptable (i hope).|
Slightly unexpected sky colouring maybe caused by being in late afternoon- pre dusk shadow. Took off the polarizer normally used in daylight. Need more practice at settings- or a camera that does more things automatically!

I think this is you best shot so far :-) Congratulations! Sharpness is better on this one but I guess you didn't have great lightning for this; I am right? I would like to know how you post-processing it. Maybe that shadow and highlight in PS CS could have helped. Did you change the color of the sky? Thanks,
Well framed and presented in a pleasant composition!
Interesting to see how the bird has placed himself in the absulute top of the branch...
12x zoom is a lot! Steady hand if this is hand held!

splendide image murray
definitely a nicely composed capture from long distance with good details. Slightly increasing contrast would certainly be recommended to increase the impact.
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
