[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of these butterflies finally stopped still long enough to get a reasonable shot.

I have no idea of the type of butterfly, but this was taken near Mackay in Queensland Australia and this type of butterfly seemed to be quite widespread in the area.

I did consider cloning out the white area top right (another twig) but decided that it gave a balance and continuity to the composition. I am more than happy to be corrected if you think it is too intrusive.

Incredibly crisp details. The color of the background is a good contrast to the butterfly itself. Beautiful pattern and coloring on the butterfly. Great job, Norman!

Nice composition for this beautiful butterfly ! I like the colors. Good DoF. Perhaps better without the second twig...
Well done !

Nice work Norman. Focus looks a bit soft and the shot may benefit from some added contarst but the POV is excellent. Didn't notice the twig at the right top until I read your note, so IMO it is not distracting. Well done. TFS

LOvely shot with really fine detail. I got my field guide to butterflies out and think it is either a White Banded Plane (phaedyma shepherdi)or a Common Crow (Euploea Core) It is harder to tell with shots of butterflies with their wings closed as the book shows wings open but these look almost identical to your photo.

Good shot, the OE gives a good mood, good details.
Well done.
TFS.

Hello Norman, excellent shot. The BG and the perch are a little bright but not too bad. Nice details and composition. Very good job.
