The grevillea is a classic Australian wild flower. It is related to the protea of South Africa. There are hundreds of varieties. This one has a holly leaf and brilliant dangling clusters of red flowers. Botanic name: Grevillea Wickhamii.
The photo was taken in the remote Purnululu NP in the east of the Kimberley region in the north of Western Australia.
