[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) photographed at a wildlife park somehwere near Sydney.
I hope you like the photo.

Vital Statistics
Wingspan 2.5 meters to 3.4 meters.
Length 1.6 to 1.9meters.
Weight 4 to 6.8 kg up to 8.2 kg.
Australian Pelicans eyes are brown and white.
The female is slightly smaller than the male.
Pouched bill 40 to 47cm and can hold 9 to 13 litres of water.
They have 4 webbed toes.
There vocalisation is a chesty rumbling or deep growling.
In the wild they can live between 10 and 25 years.
Courtship:
During the courtship period, the bill and pouch of the birds change colour dramatically. The forward half of the pouch becomes bright salmon pink, while the skin of the pouch in the throat region turns chrome yellow. Parts of the top and base of the bill change to cobalt blue, and a black diagonal strip appears from the base to the tip. This colour change is of short duration, the intensity usually subsiding by the time incubation starts.

The bird is so sharp and the colors are great, the BG is excellent!
The eye is so strange!
The beak is excellent this colors are perfect too!
Try NI to clean your photo from the noise in the BG!

Wonderful composition Andy! Great colors on the beak and what an amazing eye. :) My only nit would be that a part of the head is slightly overexposed, but I know that is quite hard ti get the exposure right on white birds. Just look at my Swan picture HERE, didn't get the exposure right there. Well done and TFS!
