[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken in the park. This lizard war eating clover of all things!!The Bearded Dragon (Pogona barbata) is very common in South-east Qld
At a total length of around 55cm, the grey-brown eastern bearded dragon is an impressive animal.
This species has a dull grey, spiny skin and a spiny pouch under the throat.
I always thought they were more an insect eating reptile until I learned that adult bearded dragons eat a great deal of vegetable matter, possibly as much as 80-90% of their total diet. Leaves, fruits, berries and flowers are all eagerly consumed. Insects make up the balance of the adult diet and the majority of the juvenile diet.
You learn something everyday!!!

Hi Paul,
Cool shot. Good detail and sharpness. These are great lizards to photograph. They can be the perfect subject to shoot as they can sit in really still position for awhile and you can get really close. Great shot.

This is a good closeup shot of bearded dragon.It really looks like a giant in this pic. Excellant sharpeness and focus. The scales look amazing. Great job. Only thing that is disturbing is the frame. Try to use simple frame like black one.
