|The vivid colours of the Australian King Parot are the most awesome sight in the gloom of the thick rainforests of southern Queensland. When seen in full light, the rich crimson of the bird is almost unnatural. These birds, at about 45cm in length, are at least here at O'Reilly's rather tame and will sit on your hand, shoulder and head. Next post, a pair of Regent Bowerbirds. |
No post processing, just a crop

I wish the parrots I was trying to capture an image of today sat still for a while. This King Parrot looks fabulous against the blue sky. Your image is of superb quality. Well seen and captured, well done.
Great capture of this King Parrot! Stunning vivid colours and excellent sharpness and details, looks good against the blue sky too!
Cheers Tina :-)
Just beautiful ! Stunning colors, that vivid red against the blue sky is wonderful. Excellent POV, super detail. TFS, Mish

Hi Matt, Good to see your nature photos coming through. This is beautifully clear and good colours, especially the red head. This is indeed the king of parrots. We have a couple here at times, but they dart around very fast. You did well here. TFS. Murray.
