[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo whilst out with a girlfriend recently. It is taken at Mt Barker. The colours were glorious and kept getting better and better! We stayed for ages looking and freezing our butts off!!
The image is a small kb, I had trouble getting it any bigger for some reason, but hopefully it still looks ok!

A little information about sunsets:

The sunset is often more brightly coloured than the sunrise, with the shades of red and orange being more vibrant. The atmosphere responds in a number of ways to exposure to the Sun during daylight hours. In particular, there tends to be more dust in the lower atmosphere at the end of the day than at the beginning. During the day, the Sun heats the surface of the Earth, lowering the relative humidity and increasing wind speed and turbulence, which serves to lift dust into the air. However, differences between sunrise and sunset may in some cases depend more on the geographical particulars of the location from which they are viewed. For example, on a west-facing coastline, sunset occurs over water while sunrise occurs over land.

PP Work:
Raw to JPEG
Cropped the image quite a bit on the bottom
Altered the contrast, brightness and red and blue levels a tad
Sharpened the image

Thanks for looking and for your comments and critiques! Cheers Tina :-)

Hi Tina.
Don't you just love what nature dishes up on the colour palette. Always different, this yet another beautiful arrangement of colour just on the tree line. Amazing.

Hi Tina,
This is just superb. It looks like there is a fire in the hills. The silhouetted trees look grand. A really great capture of this sunset, well done.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Tina, I really like the colour of that sunset with that cloud filled sky. The silhouettes of the Eucalyp forest helps complete this shot. Also I think this works well as a panorama, as you've designed it. I was curious to see what it would be like as a longer panorama, with less of the foreground and the blue sky so I've created a workshop to provide you with another option.

Regards, John

This is one wonderful sky. You have captured the colors and present the shot in perfect style. I love it! Was it on film? If so how did you transfer?
