[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Dusky Coral Pea (Kennedia rubicunda) is a robust climber that occurs in many environments around the greater Sydney area. It flowers through late winter to early summer and colour of its large 40mm flowers can vary from brilliant red to dull ruby-red, presumably depending on available nutrients in the poor sandstone soils. It is a reasonably common plant.
Apparently the indigenous Aborigines used to suck nectar from its flowers and used the tough pliable stems as a type of string.
This was taken last spring near where I work at Cordeaux Dam.
Thanks for looking.

Chris, excellent sharpness and vivid colors in this picture.

A very nice contrast, great pov and composition.

A pleasure to check.

In the thumbnail, I thought it was a mushroom ansd you took my breath away with the colour, I still remember your yellow ones!
Although it is obviously not a fungus, still a great picture :D
Good DOF, composition and beautiful colours, Thanks Chris.
