Monkey Mia (Western Australia) is well-known for dolphins coming near the beach and swimming with humans. At the end of the day, excited by dolphins, nobody notices that the light becomes magical.
A little away from the crowd, i shoot quietly this australian pelican who searches calm and peace as much as me.

The australian pelican is a very large bird (160 to 180 cm), living in Australia, New Guinea, parts of Indonesia and rarely in New Zealand. It is commonly found almost everywhere in Australia (and surprinsingly even in arid areas if there is at least a swamp or a reservoir).
They eat mainly fishes with additional insects and crustaceans.
Sexes are almost identical, the main difference is a less long beak.
It's an enjoyable show to see a group of pelicans carried by the flow and changing direction exactly at the same time.

Hello Philippe,
In Dutch we call this pelican the Brilpelikaan (Pelican with the glasses on). You can see why.
Nice photo in fine sharpness and details. Beautiful light and colours. Taken from a good POV.

Hello Philippe, the glowing light adds even more charm to this most graceful bird,a really nice shot in a good composition.
