Not quite a Christmas bloom, but close enough from the winters of Western Australia. And the colours are rather appropriate for the season too!
The Moss-leaved Heath (Astroloma ciliatum) is hardly 5cm tall, with prickly small leaves protecting extremely bright red flowers, with their tips open like small stars. A common plant of the Jarrah understorey but its small size does not make it easy to see when it is not flowering.
