Hi Chris

What a splendid capture! This Australian painted lady looks very much like our European one :)
I really like the POV and perspective here! Also the DOF is very well chosen and the exposure is spot-on, giving you all these wonderful colors and tones.
Very clear and sahrp details, as well, nice framing and composition.

Hi Chris,
Excellent capture of the Australian Painted Lady, one that we missed when we were in NSW.
You might have sacrificed the speed to increase the DOF, but having said this, you focussed just right and I like the contrast with the BG. A fine presentation.

Wonderful shot of this Painted Lady wich looks pretty much like the one we see here. We spent November last year in NSW but we saw very few butterflies then but I loved to see all the flowering bushes like this one! Pretty sharp, wonderful colours and a nice composition.

Magnificent capture of this painted lady. The composition of the photo is perfect, as is the focus on the butterfly. The colors are lovely, too, the orange in the wings wonderfully contrasting against the green background.

Hi Chris. A nice POV with a good perspective. It's always difficult to get a good shot of a feeding butterfly because they dance around as they feed..However the positioning here is excellent..Good shot!

Delightful image, Chris. The specimen is so fresh and unspoilt. However, the credit goes to you for capturing it so beautifully. Everything is perfect in this great shot.

Fantastic quality shot - in fact it amazes me how similar are all the painted lady species around the world (Asia, Europe, Americas). You can see all them here on TN. It could be a nice thing to study by taxonomist....
